Collaborations & Partnership/MOU with FAST

On April 18, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sindh Personality and Correction Service and FAST (National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences) Karachi. This collaboration aims to modernize the administrative affairs of the Sindh Prisons Department and enhance rehabilitation efforts by equipping prisoners with education in modern science and the arts.

Contribution:

On 12th September 2024, BSFT 3A students from FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) under the supervision of Ms. Aqsa Fayyaz, visited the District Prison and Correctional Facility Malir as part of their community service project.
The students conducted a vocational training session, introducing inmates to Canva tool and providing hands-on experience to equip them with digital skills.
Additionally the 2nd group of students conducted a Creative Expressions Hub workshop, empowering inmates to build self-esteem and confidence through creative expression. The successful visit enabled students to give back to the community while highlighting the significance of digitalization in today’s era.
