Inspection of District Jail Thatta Construction Progress

On January 2, 2024, under the directives of Minister for Prisons Sindh, Ali Hassan Zardari, and IG Prisons Sindh, Qazi Nazir Ahmed, DIG Prisons Hyderabad Region, Munawar Ali Shah, along with Project Director of the Prison Management Unit, Qazi Asim, visited District Jail Thatta. The officials reviewed the ongoing construction work and emphasized its swift completion to facilitate the stay of prisoners from Thatta and Sajawal districts. Additionally, on July 30, 2024, DIG Munawar Ali Shah and Project Director Qazi Asim inspected the progress of two ADP schemes (Z-1366 and Z-1388), assessing the construction pace and issuing directives for timely completion.

Uplift of Staff Residential Colonies at CP&CF Hyderabad Underway to Improve Living Standards

On the special directives of the Honorable Minister for Sindh Prisons, Mr. Ali Hasan Zardari, and in line with the specific policy guidelines of the Worthy Inspector General, Sindh Prisons and Corrections Service, Mr. Kazi Nazir Ahmed, the maintenance and repair of government residential quarters in the Staff Residential Colonies at Central Prison and Correctional Facility (CP&CF), Hyderabad is underway with full momentum.

Under the supervision and execution of the Project Director, Project Management Unit (PMU), Prison Works, Mr. Qazi Asim Naeem, priority has been given to the uplift and rehabilitation of lower staff housing.

This initiative is a direct reflection of the vision of the Honorable Minister to utilize the maintenance and repair budget of the current financial year towards improving the living standards of the lower staff, recognizing their crucial role in the prison system.

Foundation Stone Laid for Mosque at Sindh Prison Staff Training Institute

On November 23, 2024, the foundation stone for the construction of a mosque was laid at the Sindh Personality Staff Training Institute, Hyderabad. The project is being undertaken in collaboration with Faizan Madina, aiming to provide a dedicated place of worship for staff and trainees at the institute.
