MoU Signed Between Sindh Prisons & Correction Service and FAST-NUCES Karachi
On April 18, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sindh Personality and Correction Service and FAST (National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences) Karachi. This collaboration aims to modernize the administrative affairs of the Sindh Prisons Department and enhance rehabilitation efforts by equipping prisoners with education in modern science and the arts.
MoU Signed Between Sindh Prisons and Denning School of Law
On February 24, 2025, the Sindh Prisons and Corrections Service signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Denning School of Law. This partnership aims to promote academic excellence, research initiatives, and rehabilitation programs for inmates, fostering their reintegration into society through education and skill development.
MOU with STEVTA
A series of initiatives have been launched to provide vocational and technical training to prisoners in Sindh for their rehabilitation and skill development. Meetings between Sindh Prisons and STEVTA resulted in training programs for inmates at Central Jail Mirpur Khas, including courses in electrical work, refrigeration, electronics, and basic computing. Electrical training has already started, equipping inmates with skills in LED repair, wiring, and motor winding. Additionally, a new computer lab was inaugurated to enhance digital literacy among prisoners. Discussions led by IG Sindh Prisons emphasized broader prison reforms, including probation activation and industrial unit installations for employment. STEVTA has also committed to providing free technical training for the children of prison staff.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today, 13 March 2025, between the Department of Prisons Sindh and the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). The signing ceremony took place at the Inspectorate General Sindh Prisons & Correctional Services, Muslimabad, Karachi. The MoU was formally signed by IG Prisons Sindh, Qazi Nazir Ahmed, and Rector IoBM, Dr. Tariq Soomro, representing their respective institutions.
