Provincial Minister for Prisons and Works Services, Ali Hassan Zardari, conducted a series of surprise visits to various jails across Sindh, including District Jail Ghotki, District Jail Thatta, Malir Jail Karachi, Central Jail for Women Karachi, and Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) Jail. During these visits, held throughout April 2025, he toured different sections of the facilities—such as the kitchens, hospitals, and meeting rooms—interacted with inmates and visitors, and assessed the conditions and services provided. He actively listened to the concerns and suggestions of the prisoners and their families, aiming to improve the prison system. Notably, he also inaugurated a complaint cell to ensure more transparent communication and accountability within the jails
